I spent most of my adult life in a financial institute as a stock broker. In a lot of different cases, previously, there was always a semi conflict of interest, meaning that the sale came first every time. Integrity wasn’t the main thing; the sale was the first every single time. And so this is quite a bit different. I think because we’re really focused on is this program appropriate for the person you’re speaking with? How will it benefit those people and then do the best we can to get it into their hands. If I can successfully get someone to try this program, it will in some way help them. And I know I’m doing something that will benefit someone and that makes me feel good.

The calls we get are all people that are serious about what they’re doing. It’s not some joke fad, you know, let’s just hear what this is about. These are people that have a definite need. And to the sales person, if you can be in touch with all your calls with someone who has an actual need, then the sales process is going to be a lot easier because it’s your skill, being a sales person. But also knowing that the person on the other end of the phone is someone who can be receptive to your presentation of the program. Because they do actually have a need.

It’s definitely one of those things where if you put in the effort, you’re going to earn. And if you become good at the job--and they certainly give you all the tools to become good at the job--the earning potential is absolutely outstanding.

For the last 14 or 15 years I have been in call centers such as this. It is far superior to any call center I’ve been in. I just think the overall atmosphere and the self management that we can do, as opposed to a manager or team leader standing at your shoulder yelling at you to say this, say that, do this, do that-- it’s all more professional, much more professional here than any call center I’ve been in.

I enjoy coming to work. I mean, there were times with other companies that I just was dreading going to work. I am excited to get up in the morning and go to work now. It’s a huge difference. The Total Transformation and The Total Focus, they’re products that work and they have proven that they work and they help people., as opposed to diet pills and tattoo removers and things like that. The testimonials that we have that come in here, I’ve never seen testimonials before in other companies. The testimonials that come in from clients that have success with The Total Focus or The Total Transformation--that is huge to me. It’s like, hey, not only do I feel we’ve got a product that is a huge, huge help to families, but here’s what the families are saying about it as well.

I certainly think the earning potential is excellent. And I am one that I’m not a full time employee. I usually work 28, 30 hours a week. But I really can write my own paycheck if I want to. If I want to put more hours in, if I want to stay an extra hour, I have that ability to do that. What I am doing, for the hours I put in, I think it’s very good.

My training the first week with Rick I just thought was phenomenal. I was so impressed with his knowledge and how he brought it and put it and presented it to us. It was phenomenal.

I absolutely love the people. It’s great here. Everyone’s really nice and helpful, since I’m fairly new this year. Everyone was helpful with asking questions and seeing how I was doing and everything to help me. So that was great.

The training was probably the best training that I’ve done. I’ve worked at numerous call centers, but this one has the most thorough training. You’re really confident when you get on the phones, and you have all the information that you need. It’s an amazing product. I feel confident selling it. I know it works and it’s great. Even the training alone--it was so thorough.

You know, it’s not just selling. Like other call centers that I worked at, they’re selling vitamins and things like that which were great at the time. But with this, you feel like you’re helping someone and knowing that you’re doing something to help out their family. It’s great. You feel good about your job when you leave.

I think what I like is that the program really works, that we’re able to help families across the country, and that we do it on a regular basis. When we see these testimonials that come in here, that really shows us as reps how well this program does work. So it makes us put more confidence in our ability to tell people that look, I know you’re struggling but this is something that really has been working for quite a lot of people for quite a long time.

My opinion personally, I think it’s a great program. It’s recognized by the National Association For Social Workers. When I have teachers and doctors and counselors that call and get this program for themselves, they’ve gotten it for their work environment, it just again reiterates what we have here.

It’s not necessarily like a job. It is my profession now. It’s not just my job. And so when people ask me on the outside, what is it you do and so forth, I’m very proudly telling them exactly what we do and what James does. It’s something to be very proud of. With all the changes that happen in this business, some things remain constant. The integrity of the company has always been huge for me. This product is tremendous. It’s just a very integrity driven atmosphere. James is helping families. That’s all we do. That is all we do. Every day. We’re doing a good service. We’re not selling a product. It’s a life changing positive program for, our fellow human beings. And it’s not selling. I don’t feel like I’m selling. I feel like I’m aiding and helping these people.

I’ve been doing the call center business since 1996. I was working other places and it wasn’t giving me calls. And so I got a call from Tom Foley. We’ve known each other since forever. He worked in call centers with me and he gave up on them totally. Then he got a call to come here, and he did, and he loves it. He talked me into it, and it didn’t take very much. He said, it’s a great place to be because it’s so positive. They make it work for you. And he said there’s no negativity on the sales floor. People get along pretty well together and he said, it’s a nice environment. So, here I am and I found that to be exactly true.

This is something that is real. I mean, I have sold pills, creams and ointments and hope. All kinds of different things to people. This is something that people are looking at, knowing that they’ve got some really serious issues because they’re talking about their family. It’s not just about them, it’s about their family. And I think that’s really important and it’s something that has some legs under it. That’s the thing I like about selling this. Because it’s something that has long term effect that’ll be seen over many years.

One of the things that I really liked about Legacy Parenting is that they actually put the ‘I’ back into ‘Integrity’ for me. And, you know, dealing with the clientele that we work with, that’s essential. It’s not just sell them everything, every time, regardless of their need. The one thing about this is we find out what the needs are and we fulfill them if we’re able to.

The fact that we’re able to help people out every day is just a very rewarding feeling. You do get a a feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction knowing that you actually have something that works and that’s helping thousands of families.

Coming in here, I had five years experience in this type of work, and I’ve learned new things. The most rewarding thing is that you ask if there’s a need. If there’s not a need, you don’t try to push it down and force it on the client. It’s much different than the other environments that I’ve been in in the call center industry.

It is a very strong earning potential. You get out of it what you put into it. The training that goes on here really does set the representative up to earn their highest potential.

The scheduling options are outstanding. If you’re able to come in and help out on a show, it’s not like you had to stay till eight o’clock or whatever. Basically the scheduling slides; after your first three months you are able to set your schedule a bit differently than what you originally signed on for. But I’m still with the same schedule over those last nine months.

What I like about working for Legacy is the relaxed environment and it’s casual. It’s a fun place to work. There’s great people that work here.

I think it’s nice to sell a program that’s going to be beneficial for families and for children. It’s going to help them. It’s nice to know that you’re selling something that is going to be genuinely helpful. You know, people genuinely want this. And it’s nice to know that this program works and it can have a profound impact on people over a long, long period of time.

The training is fantastic. I had the opportunity to both be one of the trainers and to be trained and I think over the years it’s evolved mentally to the point where the only thing left when a sales representative comes onto the floor, is to just apply the techniques and the tools that they’ve been given. It will work. If they utilize what’s been given, then it will work.

I mean, you cannot beat this compared to other jobs. Especially the types of construction jobs and like when I was doing masonry and landscaping and even working for Safety Clean. I mean there’s no job that even compares to the flexibility that this place has.

I had been in the business before. I stayed in contact with a few of my friends, and I was looking for employment about four months ago. My friend called me and said, ‘Hey Tom, I decided to work at Legacy Parenting in Westbrook, and I think you’d really enjoy it out there. You’d be really good at it.’ So, I said, ‘I think I’m going to follow up with that, John.’ And I followed up with an interview, and that’s how I got informed about the company.

Right from the start when I called in to speak to Audra, I detected a real nice professionalism and a real change of attitude than what I had dealt with over the past. And then when I came here, I was just impressed with the physical environment. The cleanliness of the place, the work stations, the people. Then meeting Rick and going through the training class was just very, very different than everything I’ve been through. Very thorough, very, very positive. Very well informed and they do a wonderful job at training you.

I had some preconceived notions. And I just threw out everything and went from square one. I said, ‘Look, I’ve got a nice script to follow. It’s been all designed for me. All this work has been done for me.’ And after going through the training, I realized that if I just do what’s been done here for me so nicely, I should be successful. And it’s been working out very, very well for me.

I do enjoy the product line. I’m a father of three daughters and a grandfather of seven, and I do see this program as such a tremendous need in today’s society. I love the way it’s presented. I love the concepts of the program. It’s very, very practical. So, I’m enthusiastic about selling something with such great turn around for the clients.

I love the flexibility. That’s the thing that keeps me here, I’ll have to tell you that. Having two special needs kids, the flexibility piece is huge.

The thing that makes it easy is that I use the program, so I believe in the program. It’s very easy to talk to parents. I have a lot of empathy for what they’re going through because I’ve been there and done that.

The support that they’re able to give you, even working from home, it’s really like I’m still there. When I go in for monthly visits or to get some updated training, I don’t feel like I’ve been on vacation or I’ve been away from things. I feel like I’m up to date and I know what’s going on, and you still have the connection with the workers.

Most companies wouldn’t allow somebody to work at home like this. So, it’s excellent. I was so sad when I was going to have to resign and not be able to work, and when they allowed me to work at home, I was ecstatic because I love working for the company. And it meant a lot to me. It means that I was valued as an employee by them.

I always told myself I will never work in sales, and Legacy was the complete opposite of what I had always heard. I mean, the integrity of the company is excellent. I think it’s great that they require honesty from their employees.

There are times when I have made over $20 an hour in a pay period. The earning potential is great. It’s amazing. And it’s nice to have the bonuses on top of what you’re making when you achieve higher than what the floor has. So, it just makes you want to strive to do better and sell more.

I have a lot of passion for the program. I’m a single mom so I’ve learned some techniques from it myself. I love helping these families. It’s probably the most rewarding job that I’ve ever had, and I believe in all of the programs completely.

I go to bed at night a lot of times, when somebody calls who’s really in a bad situation with their family, and they buy the program, and I think, I can’t wait until they get this program so that they can make those changes. And I hope that I hear back from them somehow to hear that they’re doing well. It’s a great feeling.

I’m a licensed real estate broker and the market just got very, very tough. And I decided I needed to do something that was flexible so I could continue to work my current business. I’m also a single mom with two teenage children. So, it’s important for me. I need to be there to get them to school in the morning, and I need to be there a couple afternoons a week. So it’s allowed me to do all of those things. And I liked the idea that I was coming in here doing inbound calls only. I’ve done enough cold calling over the years…that was just not something I would be looking forward to. I thought the training was good. Our trainers and Rick are great. Our shift leaders are wonderful to work with. Very helpful, a very relaxed atmosphere so we can all be comfortable in here. They walk us through the script very well. I mean, pretty much give us all the tools that we needed for us to do our job. I think our training books are put together very well. I think the scripted questions then answers and rebuttals are good tools for us. And I think it’s well prepared.

I’ve been self-employed for 25 years in real estate. I’ve also had home based businesses where I sold health and wellness products. So, I’ve just been in sales all my life. When I was going to give up my self-employedness, it was a really important thing. You know, where am I going to be? I’m only going to give up my self-employedness once. So, I had to be really careful as who I chose to give that up to. It came to me and I did my due diligence with the company and decided that I liked the integrity and the mission statement. So, I said, this is probably where I need to be. And so…leap of faith…I took the training and decided that this is where I’m supposed to be because of the calls that I’ve been getting. I’m very good at sales. I don’t know if you looked at my stats but, I’ve been very proud of myself in what I’ve accomplished saleswise. But more importantly I think I give people hope. That’s what I see my job as. I see myself giving parents, grandparents, teachers, guidance counselors hope in that they’re in a bad spot, obviously, because they’re calling. And I want them to know that they’re not just at the end. There is hope. Because I believe in the product. That’s why I did my due diligence. Like with my health and wellness products, I wouldn’t sell them if I didn’t believe in them, and this is the same thing. And that’s why I did my due diligence at Legacy Parenting. Because if I didn’t like the product I would never be able to sell it.

Before I came here, I was in the insurance industry. I was an outbound marketing representative / trainer. We sold Medicare supplements, long-term care, etc. It was different coming back into the inbound atmosphere, but once I saw, I really had a good vibe and a good feeling about what the mission is here. Everything from my leadership to shift leaders right down to myself. In one way or another, everybody’s truly passionate about selling this program. The consumers that become clients I definitely let them know, in the end--I am proud to let them know--it’s gratifying to walk into the office every day and around you are testimonials of families we’ve helped. Testimonials of parents and grandparents, doctors. I mean, that’s powerful. If that’s not inspirational enough to make you connect on our end with the consumers, I don’t know what is.

The first day I came in here--and I was very excited--and good old Rick came walking through the door and I just knew. I mean, I clicked with him in my interview. But then naturally the first day of training, I could feel his passion for what he does and what the mission is and it was so easy. So, easy. It was a great transition for me. I mean, being in the insurance industry for the few years and then coming back into the inbound, I knew I had what it took. I can sell but I needed that reassurance from somebody that could really get me over the hump and make me realize I could do it again. And and you know, Pam Dixon, hands down, she’s been a big, big, big part of my success here, too. I mean it’s like every time I go in there and talk with her, just to talk with her and communicate with her, I can come back out the phones and I’m on.

I’ve sold long distance phone service for AT&T. I’ve sold extended Dell Warranties on computers. I have never sold something that when I actually closed the sale and hung the phone up, I felt like I was accomplishing something. Having sales experience and getting the training from Rick…I mean, Rick teaches you how to sell. Which is something I’ve never, you know, it’s mostly product knowledge that I’ve gotten. But Rick taught us how to sell, and being able to learn the program on my own, it’s gratification. You know, to get off the phone and know that you are helping these people. It’s nice to know that I taught myself how to sell the program by learning the program.

I really like the managers. They make us feel like we’re appreciated. Pam is the utmost best boss I’ve ever had. She listens to me, she gives me positive feedback, she gives me the criticism I need, but and I’ve really learned from it. I would say the best thing about the sales aspect here is to have that support from our managers and that encouragement constantly. The contests, I mean, they make it motivating to want to come to work every day. The company makes it worthwhile to come to work. I mean, I can never say I hate my job. Because I come to work, I have the positive atmosphere. We’re good about keeping the negative out. We’re good about staying positive on the sales floor. Giving constructive criticism and it’s just a fun place to be. They’re so honest in telling us, look, they tell us the stats every day. This is how much revenue you have. This is how much you’re making. They help you focus on what you need to do to achieve what you want to achieve financially.

I love being a shift leader. Everybody, all my reps, they always say they enjoy working with me. It’s nice to be able to coach these people. I know how to sell, and I know how to be able to pretty well read between the lines with what these people are saying. Asking them questions that really are able to drill down. I’m a people person and it’s nice to be able to have that connection with every client I talk to, and being able to share that with my reps.

The organization actually is great here, and the management actually is very efficient. I definitely like the interactions with the management teams. They have a lot of people here that set you up for success. It’s not something where you’re just kind of thrown out to the wolves, so to speak, and to get on the phone and take a lot of calls. So I think that the interaction with the managers--really keeping you on your feet, really showing you how go about doing this--is just very handy.

If you already have sales experience, I think this would just be giving you more of that in a different area. I think this is different sales than a lot of people are used to. So coming here as someone who already has been down a salesman avenue, you learn a lot more skills and a lot more techniques to put into your arsenal. But as far as somebody that hasn’t ever done any sales, this would be a great place to learn how to make an effective sale with a great product, with a great support team.
